POOL IS COOL goes CONCENTRICO LOGROÑO - part 1
The work of POOL IS COOL is featured in the book “Inventaires #3 Inventories”, the latest publication on contemporary architecture in Wallonia and Brussels, edited by Pauline De la Boulaye and Gilles Debrun for the Wallonia-Brussels Architecture (WBA).
Invited by Javier Peña Ibañez & Cristina Algarra, curators of the Concentrico Festival Logroño, Spain, they present their book and exhibition at the 8th edition of the festival from 1 to 6 September 2022. Accompanying the exhibition, they selected POOL IS COOL, Collectif Dallas and Piovene Fabi to design urban installations for the festival.
POOL IS COOL + COLLECTIF DALLAS
Appreciating each other and each others work for a long time and being faced with lack of time during the summer for a proper preparation of an installation due to other projects (in our case FLOW and JE VEUX NAGER, of course), POOL IS COOL and Collectif Dallas decided to join forces for a common project. We proposed to work together on an installation with the working title “Water To The People / People To The Water” for the ninth edition of the festival in 2023, with a thorough preparation this year in 2022.
During the festival we will discover the city and outskirts of Logroño, its water and its people during walks, public workshops and meetings with experts and administrations. Based on this experience we hope to gather the information and find the partners to develop, design, realize and operate a relevant project for next years edition.

Le travail de POOL IS COOL est présenté dans le livre "Inventaires #3 Inventories", la dernière publication sur l'architecture contemporaine en Wallonie et à Bruxelles, éditée par Pauline De la Boulaye et Gilles Debrun pour Wallonie Bruxelles Architecture (WBA).
Invités par Javier Peña Ibañez & Cristina Algarra, commissaires du Festival Concentrico de Logroño, Espagne, ils présentent leur livre et leur exposition lors de la 8e édition du festival du 1er au 6 septembre 2022. Pour accompagner l'exposition, ils ont sélectionné POOL IS COOL, Collectif Dallas et Piovene Fabi pour concevoir des installations urbaines pour le festival.
POOL IS COOL + COLLECTIF DALLAS
S'appréciant mutuellement et appréciant le travail de chacun depuis longtemps et étant confrontés au manque de temps pendant l'été pour une préparation adéquate d'une installation en raison d'autres projets (dans notre cas FLOW et JE VEUX NAGER, bien sûr), POOL IS COOL et Collectif Dallas ont décidé d'unir leurs forces pour un projet commun. Nous avons proposé de travailler ensemble sur une installation avec le titre provisoire "Water To The People / People To The Water" pour la neuvième édition du festival en 2023, avec une préparation approfondie cette année en 2022.
Pendant le festival, nous découvrirons la ville et la périphérie de Logroño, son eau et ses habitants au cours de promenades, d'ateliers publics et de rencontres avec des experts et des administrations. Sur la base de cette expérience, nous espérons rassembler les informations et trouver les partenaires pour développer, concevoir, réaliser et exploiter un projet pertinent pour l'édition de l'année prochaine.

Het werk van POOL IS COOL is gepubliceerd in het boek "Inventaires #3 Inventories", de nieuwste publicatie over hedendaagse architectuur in Wallonië en Brussel, samengesteld door Pauline De la Boulaye en Gilles Debrun voor het Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures (WBA).
Op uitnodiging van Javier Peña Ibañez & Cristina Algarra, curatoren van het Concentrico Festival Logroño, Spanje, presenteren zij hun boek en tentoonstelling op de 8ste editie van het Festival van 1 tot 6 september 2022. Ter begeleiding van de tentoonstelling selecteerden zij POOL IS COOL, Collectif Dallas en Piovene Fabi om stedelijke installaties voor het festival te ontwerpen.
POOL IS COOL + COLLECTIF DALLAS
POOL IS COOL en Collectif Dallas waarderen elkaar en elkaars werk al geruime tijd, maar omdat ze in de zomer door andere projecten (in ons geval natuurlijk FLOW en JE VEUX NAGER) te weinig tijd hadden voor een goede voorbereiding van een installatie, besloten ze de handen ineen te slaan voor een gezamenlijk project. We stelden voor om samen te werken aan een installatie met de werktitel "Water To The People / People To The Water" voor de negende editie van het festival in 2023, met een grondige voorbereiding dit jaar in 2022.
Gedurende het festival zullen we de stad en de buitenwijken van Logroño, het water en de mensen ontdekken tijdens wandelingen, openbare workshops en ontmoetingen met deskundigen en overheden. Op basis van deze ervaring hopen we de informatie te verzamelen en de partners te vinden om een relevant project te ontwikkelen, ontwerpen, realiseren en beheren voor de editie van volgend jaar.
