On Sunday the 5th of May, a Sunday with a very cool and volatile weather, we already gave a foretaste of the coming summer during the Iris festival.

Le dimanche 5 mai, un dimanche avec un temps très frais et changeant, nous avons déjà donné un avant-goût de l'été prochain lors de la Fête de l’Iris.

Op zondag 5 mei, een zondag met een bijzonder fris en wisselvallige weertje, gaven we reeds een voorproefje van de komende zomer tijdens het Irisfeest.
With the call " Fancy a swim in Brussels?", visitors of the Iris Festival in the Parc Royal were invited to come and swim in a pond in Brussels. In no time at all, they took on the role of a Brazilian beauty, a bronzed Monté Carlo man, a little boy, an extra-motivated swimmer, a girl with a ponytail or a lost Berlin bear looking for a spot in the open air to swim in Brussels. "Beware of biodiversity, the jetty will take you to the deep end of the pond” we shouted at the swimmers who, thoughtlessly, tried to wade through the 'plants and animals' on the shore for the deep end. The first swimmers of this summer posed proudly in the park.
Avec l'appel "Envie de nager à Bruxelles?", les visiteurs la Fête de l’Iris dans le Parc Royal ont été invités à venir se baigner dans un étang à Bruxelles. En un rien de temps, ils ont pris le rôle d'une beauté brésilienne, d'un Monté Carlo bronzé, d'un ‘ketje’, d'un nageur très motivé, d'une fille à queue de cheval ou d'un ours berlinois perdu cherchant un endroit en plein air pour nager à Bruxelles. "Attention à la biodiversité, la jetée vous emmènera au milieu de l'étang" criaient les nageurs qui, sans réfléchir, tentaient de se frayer un chemin à travers les ‘plantes et animaux’ des berges jusqu'au fond. Les premiers nageurs de cet été ont posé fièrement dans le parc.
Met de oproep "Zin om te zwemmen in Brussel?” werden bezoekers van het Irisfeest in het Warandepark uitgenodigd om te komen zwemmen in een Brusselse vijver. In een handomdraai kropen ze in de huid van een Braziliaanse schone, een gebronzeerde man uit Monté Carlo, een ketje, een extra gemotiveerde zwemster, een meisje met paardenstaart of een verloren gelopen Berlijnse beer op-zoek-naar-een-plek-om-in-open-lucht-te-zwemmen-in-Brussel. "Opgepast voor de biodiversiteit, de steiger brengt je naar het diepe deel van de vijver” riepen we naar de zwemmers die ondoordacht door de 'planten en dieren’ op de oever naar het diepe probeerden te waden. Vol trots poseerden nu de eerste zwemmers van deze zomer in het park.
