BIG JUMP 2017
POOL IS COOL aims to reintroduce outdoor swimming in Brussels. POOL IS COOL organises playful activities, realises installations in the public space, conducts research and facilitates the debate.
For this summer, POOL IS COOL is launching, together with Bruxelles Environnement, EXPEDITION SWIM - Let's test the swimming in the ponds of Brussels! For the first time in decades, you can take a refreshing dip in some of the many ponds in Brussels! POOL IS COOL organises a minimum of three swimming moments of 2 days each. The swimmers help POOL IS COOL to gather information for the development of sustainable natural swimming spots in Brussels.
During these swimming moments in ponds, POOL IS COOL is responsible for the complete supervision and organisation, such as registrations for swimmers, the infrastructure, and safety, thus, we also have to provide lifeguards m/f/d.
The ideal lifeguard
carries the “High Rescue” diploma or is interested in obtaining it before July 2019. POOL IS COOL is willing to take care of eventual training costs.

has a basic knowledge of French.
Job description
supervising of a defined area of the pond with max. 50 swimmers.
calling for support of the team in case people enter the non-accessible zones of the pond.
POOL IS COOL provides a great working atmosphere, a uniform and other tools.
Optional: The job function as a lifeguard can be combined with the construction and dismantling of the project, which takes place one day before and one day after the two swimming days.
Fee is to be agreed, in parallel with fee and agreement of a Lifeguard at the Belgian seaside + reimbursement of expenses.

POOL IS COOL vise à réintroduire la baignade en plein air à Bruxelles. Pour ce faire, POOL IS COOL organise des activités ludiques, réalise des installations dans l'espace public, mène des recherches et facilite le débat.
Pour cet été, POOL IS COOL lance, avec Bruxelles Environnement, l'EXPEDITION SWIM - Testons la baignade dans les étangs de Bruxelles ! Pour la première fois depuis des décennies, vous pouvez vous rafraîchir en plongeant dans certains des nombreux étangs de Bruxelles ! Il s’agit de trois moments de baignade de 2 jours chacun. Les participants aident POOL IS COOL à recueillir des informations pour le développement de sites de baignade naturels durables à l'avenir.
Pendant ces moments de baignade dans les étangs, POOL IS COOL est responsable de la supervision et de l'organisation complète, comme l'inscription des nageurs, l'infrastructure, la sécurité et donc aussi les sauveteurs ou sauveteuses m/f/x.
Le sauveteur idéal
possède le diplôme de “Maître Nageur” ou est intéressé.e à l'obtenir avant juillet 2019. POOL IS COOL est prêt à prendre en charge les éventuels frais de formation.

Description du poste
surveiller une zone définie de l'étang avec un maximum de 50 nageurs.
appeler à l'appui de l'équipe au cas où des personnes entreraient dans les zones non accessibles de l'étang.
POOL IS COOL offre une excellente ambiance, un uniforme et d'autres outils.
Optional: La fonction de sauveteur peut être combinée avec le montage et le démontage du projet, qui a lieu un jour avant et un jour après les deux journées de baignade.
Le paiement est à convenir, en parallèle avec le paiement et l'accord d'un(e) maître nageur en bord de mer belge + remboursement des frais.

POOL IS COOL streeft naar de herintroductie van openluchtzwemmen in Brussel. Hiervoor organiseert POOL IS COOL ludieke activiteiten, realiseert installaties in de publieke ruimte, doet onderzoek en faciliteert het debat.
Voor deze zomer lanceert POOL IS COOL, samen met Leefmilieu Brussel, EXPEDITION SWIM - Let’s test the swimming in the ponds of Brussels! Voor de eerste keer in decennia kan je een verfrissende duik nemen in enkele van de vele vijvers in Brussel! Het gaat over drie zwemmomenten van telkens 2 dagen. De deelnemers helpen POOL IS COOL informatie te verzamelen voor de ontwikkeling van duurzame natuurlijke zwemplekken in de toekomst.
Tijdens deze zwemmomenten in de vijvers staat POOL IS COOL in voor de volledige omkadering en organisatie; zoals inschrijvingen voor zwemmers, de infrastructuur, en veiligheid dus ook redders of redsters m/v/x.
De ideale redder
beschikt over het Hoge Reddersdiploma of heeft interesse dit voor juli 2019 te bekomen. POOL IS COOL is bereid de eventuele opleidingskosten op zich te nemen.
