WE WENT SWIMMING AT ... ST. CATHERINE
"A reminder of the former harbour docks in the city centre, the bassin at St. Catherine (actually at the Vismet) is a large pool with a fountain in it (that was originally located at Place Brouckere!). Surrounded by bars, café's and restaurants it's a vibrant place to hang out ... and to have a quick dip in the water! While the bassin is too shallow for a real swim, it's perfect to float around and cool down on a hot summer day. It's the place to see and be seen! Climbing on the fountain is not advised."
