Water and recreation as drivers for urban development. The M4H Makers District is an area of the port of Rotterdam, close to the city centre, that is in full transition to become a new mixed district of the city under the lead of the municipality and the port authority.
With water all around, the ongoing series of public debates called „Aankeilen“, organized by Keilecollectief, will focus this season on the role of the water in the future development. This ranges from the ecological role as a habitat to rain water management and to the recreational value of water. And that's a topic we can say something about!
Louisa Vermoere of POOL IS COOL will join Eva Pfannes of OOZE architecten and Inge Bobbink of the TU Delft (an all-female-panel, yeah!) to elaborate on water (related) pleasure in this new district of Rotterdam.

L'eau et les loisirs comme moteurs du développement urbain. Le M4H Makers District est une zone du port de Rotterdam, proche du centre-ville, qui est en pleine transition pour devenir un nouveau quartier mixte sous la direction de la municipalité et de l'autorité portuaire.
Avec l'eau tout autour, la série de débats publics "Aankeilen", organisée par Keilecollectief, se concentrera cette saison sur le rôle de l'eau dans le développement futur. Cela va du rôle écologique en tant qu'habitat à la gestion des eaux pluviales et à la valeur récréative de l'eau. Et c'est un sujet sur lequel nous pouvons dire quelque chose !
Louisa Vermoere de POOL IS COOL se joindra à Eva Pfannes de OOZE Architecten et Inge Bobbink de la TU Delft (un panneau entièrement féminin, ouais !) pour parler des plaisirs de l'eau dans ce nouveau quartier de Rotterdam.

Water en recreatie als drijfveren voor stedelijke ontwikkeling. Het M4H Makers District is een gebied van de Rotterdamse haven, dicht bij het centrum, dat in volle transitie is naar een nieuwe gemengde wijk onder leiding van de gemeente en het havenbedrijf.
Met water als uitgangspunt zal de lopende serie publieke debatten "Aankeilen", georganiseerd door Keilecollectief, zich dit seizoen richten op de rol van het water in de toekomstige ontwikkeling. Dit varieert van de ecologische rol als leefomgeving tot regenwaterbeheer en de recreatieve waarde van water. En daar kunnen we iets over zeggen!
Louisa Vermoere van POOL IS COOL gaat samen met Eva Pfannes van OOZE architecten en Inge Bobbink van de TU Delft (een volledig vrouwelijk paneel, ja!) dieper ingaan op het waterplezier in deze nieuwe wijk van Rotterdam.
